Wow, trying saying That three times fast! I could barely type it once!

So, I’d only had one nickname in my life: Shadie. (hence the title of this blog). Recently, however, I suddenly acquired a new one.  The Crazy Camera Lady.

Well, Ok.  I can see parts of that. I do have a tendency to lug my camera everywhere. Grocery stores, work...anywhere I can take it, really.  And I will admit that sanity isn’t really one of my greatest attributes. Oh, I don’t foam at the mouth (unless I put too much toothpaste on the brush, but that doesn’t count, does it?) and I’ve never had to wear one of those nifty self-hugging coats, but I can admit to being somewhat eccentric.   But I do question the Lady part of the name. Really. If you read much of this blog at all, you’ll agree that I’m no Lady.  (forewarning, anyone?)  But I suppose that Crazy Camera Chick or Crazy Camera Woman is a little weird as well, so I’ll just let them call me Lady and snicker at them for it.  Did I mention that I’m also easily amused?

I am an amateur photographer who claims no real skills, but a great love of photography.  I have my first SLR at long last and I’m learning as I go.  I’ll be tossing in tons of pictures here and probably some random observations and stories to go along with them. 

Enjoy them...and don’t worry, my eccentricity isn’t contagious.  Well, you’re probably safe at that distance, anyway. :)
